You must show evidence of approved or recognized nursing education that meets the required credential for the type of nursing (RN, RPN or NP) you want to practice in Ontario.

RN applicants can meet this requirement by completing a baccalaureate nursing program approved by CNO or one that is approved or recognized in any jurisdiction.

If your approved or recognized nursing program does not meet the required credential, then we will look at your foundational nursing education and any additional nursing programs to determine if they are substantially equivalent to that of an Ontario program.
