If you have been informed that your nursing education is not substantially equivalent to meet CNO’s nursing education registration requirement, you have the option to meet this education requirement through a CNO-approved IEN education pathway. These IEN education pathways focus on a subset of entry-level competencies designed to include theory and/or application courses, including the CNO-approved online Transition to Practice (TTP) course. The final course includes a 400-hour 1:1 supervised clinical placement to support the applicant to meet the education registration requirement.
It is important to understand that if you choose to meet the nursing education requirement through an IEN education pathway, you must choose a CNO-approved program from the list below.
