Important notice about using third parties in your application
You must complete and submit the application to CNO yourself. CNO is available to help you throughout the application process. If you choose to get help from a third party, such as an immigration consultant, NCLEX preparation service, online Group, friends or other advisors when preparing your application to become a nurse in Ontario, you should never share your login details, allow someone else to sign into your account, or let anyone submit or verify information on your behalf. Doing so may affect your eligibility for registration.
Using third parties during your application
CNO understands that applying for registration can be complex. Some applicants choose to get help from third parties, such as immigration consultants, exam preparation services, recruiters, or legal representatives. While this support can be helpful, there are clear limits on what third parties are allowed to do.
You are responsible for your application. You must create and manage your own Maintain Your Membership (MYM) account and personally complete, review and submit your application. Do not share your username or password with anyone. Allowing another person to access your account, answer questions, sign declarations, upload documents or submit information as if they were you may be considered misrepresentation.
Misrepresentation includes providing false, misleading or incomplete information—even if this was done by a third party. This can lead to delays, refusal of registration, cancellation of a certificate that has already been issued or other serious consequences.
With your written permission, CNO can share information about your application with a third party. In some cases, a properly authorized third party may submit information to CNO on your behalf. However, third parties must never present themselves as you or act as though they are the applicant.
Be cautious of individuals or organizations that claim to represent CNO, use the CNO name or logo, or promise faster or guaranteed registration. These claims may be misleading. If you are unsure, please contact CNO directly.
CNO correspondence, such as letters requesting documents, is specific to you. Do not allow these letters to be copied, shared or reused by other applicants. Using another person’s letter or submitting templated responses can lead to errors and delays.
If you choose to get help, review everything carefully before submitting. When in doubt, contact CNO. We are here to support you.
