CNO reflects: Using your feedback, QA changes are coming in 2023

As we near the end of the year, it’s time to reflect on the past 12 months and look ahead.

Nurses are life-long learners, and you renew this commitment to learning, reflecting, and professional growth every year by completing Quality Assurance (QA), which is the public's assurance that nurses will maintain competence and continually improve their practice.

Self-assessment, which is part of QA, is a principle CNO believes in and lives by too. That’s why we engage in ongoing improvements to our programs, and, in 2023, we’re looking forward to changes to our QA Program.

In the new year, we want to take a more supportive approach, further promote the use of standards and implement more user-friendly technology. QA Everyday, QA Assessment (random selection and peer coaching) and Remedial Support will remain parts of the program.

These changes are informed by feedback from nurses who have previously been through the program, and we look forward to sharing more details in 2023.

If you have questions about the QA Program, please email us at QAassessment@CNOmail.org and we’ll be happy to support you.

Thank you for your commitment to safe nursing practice.
