PSW work as evidence of nursing practice
I have been working as a PSW for the past three years. I am now renewing my certificate of registration as a Registered Nurse. Can I use my PSW work to satisfy the evidence of practice requirement?
No. Time spent working as a PSW is not recognized by CNO as evidence of recent nursing practice when completing the Declaration of Practice.
At the time of membership renewal, nurses must provide evidence of recent nursing practice within the previous three years appropriate for the requested certificate.
