Membership Statistics Report
The College publishes annual membership statistics reports to ensure access to timely and accurate data about Ontario nurses. These reports contain detailed practice and employment information about Registered Nurses (RNs), Registered Practical Nurses (RPNs) and Nurse Practitioners (NPs), also referred to as Registered Nurses in the Extended Class [RN(EC)s].
New members are vital to increasing the nursing labour pool in Ontario and helping to mitigate the effects of attrition caused by retirement and labour mobility. These reports show the age, gender and location of initial nursing education of new RNs and RPNs in Ontario, as well as their employment experience during the first year of registration with the College.
As part of the registration process, applicants must successfully complete a national registration examination. The following report provides information about the number of applicants who attempted the exams and the number that passed.
