Practical Nursing Program approval results

Every year, the College reviews Practical Nursing education programs to make sure they prepare graduates with the entry-to-practice competencies needed to practise as a Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) in Ontario.  These reviews are one of the ways we protect the public.

We want to ensure that graduates from the programs have the knowledge, skill and judgment to provide client care safely. This involves a regular review of each program’s curriculum, key performance indicators and exam results.

Based on the reviews, a program is given a status of:

  • Approved
  • Approved with Conditions, or
  • Not Approved.

We recently completed the annual review and have published the results on our website.
