CNO upgrading systems

During the transition, there will be temporary delays in our services

We are embarking on an upgrade to our computer systems so we can continue to improve the way the public, nurses, applicants and employers engage with us.

The upgrade will allow us to develop our processes and online applications so we can offer more efficient service to you in the future, including providing more information faster.

The transition to the new system begins on Wednesday, July 12, 2017 at 5 p.m. For about one week after that, nurses and applicants will not be able to access some online services, including Maintain Your Membership. As well, there will be delays in processing applications and forms.

Once the new system is in place, you may notice changes to this website, including Find a Nurse, our public Register. Find a Nurse will have a new design that will be more accessible to people using assistive devices or technologies such as screen readers. It will also display correctly across different mobile and desktop devices. In addition, Find a Nurse will feature more information so the public can make more informed decisions about their nursing care.

CNO is committed to public protection. Being transparent about our processes and decision-making is one way we protect the public. Transparency also means ensuring that our processes and information related to the nursing profession in this province can be accessed easily by everyone.

If you have any questions, contact Customer Service at 416 928-0900 (toll-free in Canada at 1 800 387-5526). Thank you for your patience during this transition time.
